“The Newport News Commonwealth’s Attorney’s Office and the Victim Services Unit must continue to play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for the citizens of Newport News. We will accomplish this goal through the effective and fair prosecution of defendants and the passionate and respectful treatment of victims and witnesses. Additionally, we will move beyond the traditional, reactive role of a prosecutor’s office by taking a proactive and preventative approach to the reduction of crime. We know that the only way that we can effectively serve this community is to first commit to trust, respect, support, and uplift each other.”
