On June 4, 2013, Ashton Washington was sentenced to fifteen years for robbery and two counts of possession of a firearm after having been convicted of a felony. Mr. Washington pleaded guilty to the offenses. The charges resulted from an offense occurring on January 13, 2012. Mr. Washington approached the victim at an apartment complex and demanded his cell phone. Mr. Washington was armed with a firearm at the time of the robbery. Using a cell phone tracking device, detectives were able to locate the phone. During a search of Mr. Washington’s residence, several firearms were recovered.
