ISAAC HAWKINS SENTENCED FOR ATTEMPTED ROBBERY

On May   30, 2013, Judge David F. Pugh sentenced Isaac Hawkins to eight years for two counts of attempted robbery and two counts of use of a firearm during the commission of a felony.   Mr. Hawkins pleaded guilty to the offenses.  The charges resulted from a January 28, 2013 incident in which Mr. Hawkins, while carrying a firearm, approached two men in an apartment complex and demanded money.  The two men apprehended Mr. Hawkins before calling the police.   The convictions stemming from that offense also resulted in a probation revocation for Mr. Hawkins.  On July 25, 2013, Judge Pugh sentenced Mr. Hawkins to nine years and two months on the revocation.
