On May 30, 2013, Judge David F. Pugh sentenced Isaac Hawkins to eight years for two counts of attempted robbery and two counts of use of a firearm during the commission of a felony. Mr. Hawkins pleaded guilty to the offenses. The charges resulted from a January 28, 2013 incident in which Mr. Hawkins, while carrying a firearm, approached two men in an apartment complex and demanded money. The two men apprehended Mr. Hawkins before calling the police. The convictions stemming from that offense also resulted in a probation revocation for Mr. Hawkins. On July 25, 2013, Judge Pugh sentenced Mr. Hawkins to nine years and two months on the revocation.
